One of my first event branding and invitation design projects was this invitation inspired by a kaleidoscope. The theme of the event was “2020 vision” and that was about as far as the creative brief went. I created a couple options before landing on the solution of a kaleidoscopic pattern foil-printed in 4 different colors, with a wheel fastened to the top of the print that had laser-cut windows so when the wheel turned, the shapes changed much like a kaleidoscope. The envelope was custom die-cut and printed with holographic foil. I lettered “Ladies Outing” for the event “logo” as well as “Optics” for the back of the invitation that outlined the timeline for the event.

One of the most luxe invitations I worked on was this for the opening of F1 Miami’s exclusive “Palm Club”. The invitation was sent in a custom shipping box, and inside was a box with a ribbon pull to lift a lid de-bossed with a palm leaf. There was an etched leather sleeve that held the detailed invitation and insert cards with additional details. The invitation card itself was digitally printed with tropical leaves and foil-stamped in gold. A gold foil map of the Miami track was uncovered when the leather sleeve was removed from the box that held it.

This invitation for Miami’s Grand Prix Weekend was a laser-cut dream. Housed in a custom die-cut envelope that was gloss printed with a race inspired checker pattern and then foil stamped with the F1 Miami logo, the invitation itself was elegantly de-bossed with a palm leaf, a laser-cut textured paper was laid overtop and held together by a foil stamped linen belly band.
