In my 3 years designing for Snarky Tea, stickers became one of my most favorite creative exercises. A sticker came with every order and changed monthly, and there was also another sticker that was sent with the Tea of the Month subscription. When designing a sticker I have one goal in mind - it not being thrown away. I love to think about what will resonate so deeply with someone that they will either tuck it away for safe-keeping, or slap it on their water bottle to look at every day.

Another extension of the Snarky Tea brand - this recipe book zine created to be a freebie for BFCM. The Snarky Tea drinkers had long been creating their own “mixes” of tea blends, and lattes and mocktails were regularly dreamt up. This book was a collection of holiday / winter recipes that were segmented into different times of the season they were best suited for. I did some mid-century style lettering for the cover, and then went on to lay out the rest of the book.

Suspecting that the Tea Witch mug would be a hit, it was decided to turn the same design into a hoodie. I wanted something more seasonally relevant than just the tea cup sub logo that is a part of Snarky Tea’s brand, so I altered it with bats for subtle spook. The graphics were printed “puffy” on the thick black hoodie and years later, it’s still a fan favorite.
